Unity Church of Today

God and me together in 2009. Making room for Spiritual growth in the new year is a responsibility that I eagerly embrace. One of the most inspiring goals for this year is in December my wife Julie and I will travel to Melbourne, Austrailia for the World Parliment of Religions Conference. This is our first trip to downunder and we expect a blessed exciting adventure. Nearly every spiritual organization in the world will be represented. This June my wife Julie will take on the role of first chair of the Association of Unity churches. What a wonderful year of leadership service she will experience. We love you and expect great things from your leadership- Rev. Julie !

Looking forward to a new year of "A Course in Miracles" on Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. and the return of regular students and I expect new course students will show up.  A new class entitled "Prosperity " on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m which is based on a really great Charles Fillmore book entitled  Prosperity. This is highly needed for a path of spiritual growth due to our present economic times. The Drumming Circle will continue on the third Thursday of the month with Sandra Gendron returning to facilitate and many returning regular drummers. Rev. Scott Sherman will be here this February to teach Sacred Healing Meditation and facilitate an Appreciative Inquiry meeting for our Board and congregation.Our board of trustees is looking for three new Board Members to join in the leadership of our church. Love in Action service teams continue with the loving leadership of Beverley David. Our Board is working together with the Association of Unity churches on the Thriving in Unity program. We will be taking steps this year toward the benchmarks for our churches vitality and overal organizational well being. There are new opportunities to serve in leadership in your Unity Church please be sure to find a perfect volunteer role. We are planning a week day Pot Luck Community dinner each month. An annual  fund raising campaign of ( save your change ) will continue, this supports the India orphange in Mizoram, India which is under the leadership of Unity Minister Rev. Thangluaia our brother in Unity in India. We are going to hold a service project at the Bow Hill rest stop exit this summer serving coffee and smiles. Get involved with this ministry and bring your friend or family member with you  who may be looking for spritual growth, invite them to any of our events, classes, Sunday services.
