The origin of the "I-Ching" is shrouded in mists of Ancient Chine. However, its existence and use can be traced back to al least 4000 years. Its Eastern origins are clearly evident in its reliance on the "chance" aspect of events rather than our Western reliance on casualty. The "I-Ching is also known as the "Book of Changes". This alternate title is another clue regarding the Eastern philosophy of change radiating through the Cosmos, viewed as an endless state of flux, motion, and change that is the timeless flow of the primal forces of the yin and yang that Westerners simply accept as the dynamics of life.
