{1:12} And after they were brought It is interesting that the genealogy
to Babylon, Jechonias begat of Jesus, through Joseph, is different

Zorobabel Luke. This is because Matthew shows

Eliakim begat Azor through the imagination (Nathan).
{1:14} And Azor begat Sadoc; and The line diverges at David,
Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat through his children Solomon and
Eliud Nathan. But both developments
lead to captivity (Babylon).
{1:15} And Eliud begat Eleazar; and
Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan It is certainly possible that

through both Nathan and Solomon,
{1:16} And Jacob begat Joseph the in as small and cohesive an
husband of Mary, of whom was born ethnic group as the Jews were

fourteen generations you have
{1:17} So all the generations from over 16,000 direct ancestors
Abraham to David [are] fourteen (2 parents, 4 grandparents,
generations; and from David until 8 great-grandparents, etc.)
the carrying away into Babylon
[are] fourteen generations; and The number fourteen represents
from the carrying away into Babylon seven twice; this is a cycle of
unto Christ [are] fourteen inner and outer change related to
generations physical awareness.
{1:18} Now the birth of Jesus Christ begins as an idea just like
Christ was on this wise: When as any other. You must give it an
his mother Mary was espoused to opportunity to be born in the
Joseph, before they came together, outer consciousness (Mary) that is
she was found with child of the dedicated to shaping the subconscious
Holy Ghost (Joseph), but the real impulse comes
from God (Holy Ghost)
{1:19} Then Joseph her husband, The Christ is not recognized for what
being a just [man], and not willing it is at first. "I didn't ask for
to make her a publick example, was this!" How many times have you asked
minded to put her away privily for a solution to a problem, and
gotten something greater!
{1:20} But while he thought on The angel is a thought from the super-
these things, behold, the angel of conscious mind (your direct awareness of
the Lord appeared unto him in a God). Notice that this Joseph, like the
dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of other famous Joseph of the Bible, ACTS
David, fear not to take unto thee on his dreams. Do you? The earthly
Mary thy wife: for that which is father of Christ interprets his dreams.
conceived in her is of the Holy Why did Joseph believe THIS dream? Per-
Ghost haps because the angel recognized him
("thou son of David").
{1:21} And she shall bring forth a The son (principle in action) is Jesus
son, and thou shalt call his name (anglicized Yeshua, Joshua, conquerer
JESUS: for he shall save his people or overcomer.) Jesus will overcome
from their sins death, which represents your separation
from God.
{1:22} Now all this was done, that You believed that you were one with
it might be fulfilled which was God, and this belief, like any other,
spoken of the Lord by the prophet, has shaped and developed into true
saying knowing.
{1:23} Behold, a virgin shall be The virgin is your pure thought arising

{1:24} Then Joseph being raised
from sleep did as the angel of the Joseph responded differently than Adam
Lord had bidden him, and took unto did in a similar situation - and that
him his wife is why Christ was born!
{1:25} And knew her not till she If you think you have a divine idea,
had brought forth her firstborn give it a chance to express before
son: and he called his name JESUS you look for a different idea.
Adam's sin was not that he ate the apple, but that he tried to escape
responsibility for his decision. He blamed it on his wife, and she blamed
it on the snake (who didn't have a leg to stand on).
Now Joseph thought Mary had been unfaithful. He had every reason to be
angry and to blame her. Because he was just, of good judgment, he was
open to the message God gave him of the value of this child.
This represents the change in consciousness where you no longer believe in
suffering. You stop blaming outer circumstances for your problems. You
restrain yourself from self-condemnation when something seems to go
wrong. Instead you remain open to the lesson from God, that this situation
must surely contain.
This consciousness is the good earth, in which the seed of Christ will
surely grow.
