DEB WHITEHOUSE AND ALAN ANDERSON

DEB is an educator, counselor, researcher, and musician. She holds a doctorate in educational psychology in addition to degrees in church music and music history. She has taught on all levels from kindergarten to graduate school, has trained business managers, and has maintained a private counseling practice.

ALAN is Professor of Philosophy and Religion at Curry College, Milton, Massachusetts. A longtime student of New Thought, he has broken new ground in integrating New Thought teachings with the excitingly important philosophical position known as process thought. He is the author of several books, booklets, and articles. In addition to his doctorate in philosophy he holds degrees in political science, law, and education.

DEB AND ALAN are coauthors of _New Thought: A Practical American Spirituality_, published by The Crossroad Publishing Company in 1995.

Unity minister Wayne Manning has characterized it as

"an important work . . . a super summary of New Thought formation and history . . . groundbreaking . . . should be made part of the materials in Unity's ministerial training program, and other New Thought programs as well."

Unity minister Ray B. Sykes says:

"Your book is the most refreshing and thought-provoking that I've read in years. . . . I can't tell you how energized I feel now that I'm starting to chew on your ideas."

Deb and Alan are active participants in the International New Thought Alliance, in which Alan holds two chairmanships and the presidency of the New England District. They are speakers at Unity and other New Thought churches and are popular seminar and workshop leaders. Alan and Deb are performing a vital role in bridging the gap between New Thought and the academic world, producing a new synthesis that will help to establish and ensure the continuance of Unity and the rest of New Thought as central parts of 21st Century civilization.

What workshop participants say about Deb and Alan:

"You are both excellent communicators and gave excellent examples of how to bring this into our daily lives. I have learned more today than I expected to and the humor, anecdotes, and body language all added to lighten, energize, and clarify the subject."

"This workshop inspires me to not only open up the book again but to immediately put some of [it] to work in my life."

"Got a great philosophical tie to spirituality, New Thought, God."

"It was very informative and clear."

"Everything was great."

"Surpassed my expectations."

"Great workshop."

"Perfect."
